How to Do Flawless Makeup in Summer

Summer is colorful, but it brings challenges to your makeup routine. You can’t just go and use anything you like; you have to be very careful about choosing what you wear on your skin. Who wants their makeup to sweat off this summer? No one. With the scorching heat of summer, you must make sure to follow some steps before doing your makeup.

Prepare Your Skin

A full day of makeup needs preparation. Otherwise, it will be flaky or all sweaty. To avoid that:

  1. Face Wash
  2. Exfoliate

Face wash will remove any dirt from your skin, and exfoliating will remove dead skin. Both steps will result in smooth skin, and your makeup will set for a longer time. Exfoliating also helps to clean the pores, so there will be no buildup before doing makeup.

Use Primer

Primer is one of the most important things for doing makeup in summer. Use a water-based primer and let it soak into the skin for a minute. Primer helps to blur out the pores and makes the makeup smoother.

Foundation

Choose a liquid-based foundation as cream foundation can be cakey. Medium coverage foundation is best for this summer. Blend the foundation really well, or else it will look cracked.

Blush

Use cream blush. Powder blush is not encouraged as it doesn’t last long. Cream blush will look good, and its texture will not make it cakey. Cream blush blends in nicely.

Lipstick

Choose matte lipstick. But before that, you must moisturize your lips with Vaseline or something similar. You can exfoliate your lips with simple homemade ingredients like coffee and lemon. Exfoliating will remove dead skin, so your lipstick will not crack.

Other Tips

  • Use waterproof mascara and eyeliner: You will be sweaty all day, and your foundation can be saved by using blotting paper, but not your mascara. So choose wisely.
  • Hydrate yourself often: If you don’t drink water regularly, your skin will become oily, and everything will go in vain. So drink water.
  • Use sun protection: You don’t want to get sunburned this summer. Use extra sun protection and reapply it every two hours. To do that, you can use spray sunscreen.
  • Use blotting paper from time to time: This will suck out the oil from your skin and make the makeup last longer.

By following these steps, you can ensure your makeup stays flawless and fresh throughout the hot summer days.
